Music Therapy Can Provide Natural Anxiety Relief And Treat Depression



Stress is a by-product of the highly competitive environment we live in. Stress relief is a process that helps the stressed person to relax and attain his balance. For example, in a meta-analysis of 400 studies, Levitin and his postgraduate research fellow, Mona Lisa Chanda, PhD, found that music improves the body's immune system function and reduces stress. Another method of stress relief that involves writing and works for many is to write down their stressful feelings and then burn the paper in an ashtray.

The reduction of stress and anxiety improves mental and physical health, with the result of improved control over thoughts and feelings, stronger endurance during work, and the achievement of a calm and relaxing sleep at night. Thankfully, one of the ways we can relieve stress is by putting on some relaxing music.
